To celebrate National Children’s Book Day, we asked some of our Hiyas authors to answer two simple questions.

These are the answers of best-selling author Joyce Piap-Go, author of the Dee the Bee series.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF READING?

Reading is a good opportunity to spend time with your kids. Reading together with your kids serves as a fun and educational way to spend time with them.

Reading enhances the child's imagination. Reading literally brings the child into the world of the character in the children's book, which broadens their horizons and enhances their ability to imagine.

Reading can boost your child's concentration. Reading allows a child to develop a discipline of focus and concentration, which is a vital life skill that is needed throughout his or her life.
