#RejoiceInHope: Things To Hold On To
Mid-August last year, I was going through something difficult. One afternoon, I took a breather at Cafe France and enjoyed some coffee. My thoughts were confused and anxious. I knew I was on the threshold of a difficult season, and so I wanted to list down some truths I could hold on to on hard days ahead. I listed them all down on a stained Cafe France placemat and kept this in my planner. In the months ahead, I would take out the list and read it.
Sharing the list now, in the hope that it will encourage us during these uncertain days we are all facing.
1) God is in control of the duration and severity of this trial.
2) God is trustworthy.
3) I should do what is right. God will help me.
4) God can redeem whatever pain comes.
5) God will not leave me to go through this season alone.
6) God does not want me to think too far ahead, but to live one day at a time.
7) I must never stop praying.
8) I must never stop reading His Word.
9) God wants me to love the people around me.
10) God wants me to rely on His strength, not my own.
11) God wants me to place my hope in Him.
12) God wants me to remember that peace and joy are still possible, because they are from Him.
13) God wants me to know that He is God, and my life is in His hands.
