PRAYER GUIDE IN THE TIME OF COVID-19

“I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words” Psalm 17:6 (ESV).

1. Health Workers

Pray for our nurses, doctors, and other health workers, that they may have the strength and protection as they continue to serve as our front line in this battle.

2. Other frontliners

Pray for the police, soldiers, grocery workers, drivers and delivery workers, sanitation workers, and other volunteers and service providers that they may have protection as they continue to do the work needed to keep society functioning.

3. Government

Pray for the national government and the LGUs, that they may have the wisdom and political will to do whatever it takes to flatten the curve of COVID-19. Pray for empathy and compassion as they lead the Filipino people during these difficult times.

4. Churches

Pray for the Filipino Church, that we may be a beacon of light in these days of darkness and uncertainty. May people see and hear Christ in our words and actions.

5. Vulnerable Sectors
Pray for the homeless, the unemployed, the informal settlers, that they may experience God’s provision and protection through the people and organizations that will help and support them in their time of need.

6. Employers

Pray for businesses and companies affected by the lockdown, that they may put the welfare of their employees first and demonstrate compassion in addressing their needs. Pray that they would be able to recoup their losses after this crisis is over.

7. Families

Pray for the children and their parents that are at home—for patience, understanding, and discipline as they navigate this new home dynamic. Pray that more families would draw near to God in prayer and the reading of His Word.

8. Sick

Pray for those who are sick, that the Lord bring healing to them and comfort to their families.

9. Filipinos

Pray for all Filipinos, that we may learn to work together in fighting COVID-19; that we may have empathy for one another; and that we may find ways to help those who have been most affected by this pandemic.
