Here are some tips on how you can use the Hiyas Big Books for your storytelling or read-aloud sessions:
Review the book before you begin. Take note of words, concepts, or situations you might need to explain later.
Practice, practice, practice. Read the book aloud on your own and try out different tones and expressions. See which works with the story best.
Let the children settle down before you begin. Encourage them to listen by giving them a task, like “Listen for the different sounds the characters make.”
