MORE THAN MOST Book Launch: Celebrate Faith, Hope and Courage on November 13 at The Podium
We are excited to launch one of our most highly-anticipated books More than Most: The Story of Courageous Caitie on November 13, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Podium, Mandaluyong City. More than Most is a story of hope in the midst of despair, and the triumph of faith over loss.
The authors of the book are Feliz and Jay Jay Lucas, the parents of Courageous Caitie. Caitlin “Courageous Caitie” Lucas’s journey began in January 2016 with a mysterious illness, eventually diagnosed as a rare childhood cancer called juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML). She passed away in March of the same year. As Caitie’s story went viral on social media, thousands of people in the Philippines and abroad were inspired by her bravery, and her parents’ faith in the midst of adversity and loss.
More than Most is the moving and inspiring account of the Lucas family’s experiences. According to celebrity endorser Cheska Kramer, “More than Most can show you what it truly means to never give up on God — may this book inspire you to keep the faith even in the most trying of times.”
Expect a meaningful night of music and faith, with an acoustic performance by Glenn Sicat and testimonies from people who were transformed by Caitie’s story. This event is brought to you by OMF Literature and Courageous Light — an organization that provides emotional and spiritual support to pediatric patients and their families.
The event is free and open to all. The More than Most: The Story of Courageous Caitie book launch will be on November 13, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Podium, 2nd Level Atrium, 12 ADB Ave., Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. About the book:
More than Most takes readers on a journey of faith, pain, loss, and love, as seen through the eyes of Feliz and Jay Jay Lucas, the parents of Caitlin “Courageous Caitie” Lucas.
Caitie was a three-year-old girl who suffered from a rare disease. After months of inconclusive diagnoses and medical procedures in the Philippines, she was brought to Singapore, where she was finally diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML). Caitie’s courage and her parents’ faith throughout the ordeal, chronicled in the news and on social media, touched the hearts of thousands of people across the world. Caitie passed away in 2016 but despite her brief life on earth, she lived a life of influence and hope."
The book is available for P395 at OMF Lit and Passages Bookshops, PCBS branches, and Powerbooks at The Podium during the launch. It's also available at our online store, passagesbooks.com.
