What we are looking for
We are looking for original, unpublished manuscripts with a compelling Christian message addressed primarily to a Filipino or Asian audience. We want material that is written at a popular level, and communicates biblical truth and its application to a person’s daily life. Our publishing program covers a wide range of categories like Christian Living, Family, Church, Career/Business, Leadership, Evangelism and Missions, Devotionals, Gift Books, Youth-oriented Books and Children’s Books. It’s always a delight for us to receive manuscripts that tackle familiar topics—like marriage and parenting, Christian character and values, witness in the workplace, faith and culture—presented in a fresh and insightful way.

Who can write for us
Christian writers who are vibrant in their faith and whose work will have a worthwhile impact among either church members or seekers. We expect a writer to have appropriate training or experience relating to the subject that he or she is writing on.

We will try to respond by email or post within two weeks to say at least that we have received your proposal.
When we receive your proposal
The Director of Publications will evaluate your proposal to see if it is aligned with our publication goals. We may need up to four (4) weeks for this process, conferring with the Marketing and Editorial Committees. You may contact us for follow-up after that time if you have not heard from us.
You will receive an email or letter with our initial assessment of your proposal:
If we feel we can publish your material, we will ask you to submit your full manuscript.
If we cannot publish your manuscript, we will advise you if we know of another publisher to whom you might submit.
If we need more material before evaluating your proposal, we will ask you to send these.
When we receive your manuscript
We will try to respond by email or post within two weeks to say at least that we have received your manuscript.
Your manuscript will be read first within the Publications department. We may also pass it to specialist reviewers who will advise us to help assess its content, and ask for reviews from people who will speak for the typical reader.
If we receive positive feedback from our editors and manuscript reviewers, we will present your book proposal to the Publishing List Committee. This group, composed of the Chief Executive Officer and representatives from Marketing, Sales, and Publications, decides on what book projects OMF LIT should pursue.
If we are unable to use your manuscript and know of another publisher to whom you might submit, we will make suggestions.
If the manuscript is promising but needs more work, we will discuss the possibilities with you. We might be able to make suggestions about re-writing sections or modifying chapters to produce something that would fit into our list of titles needed.
When we feel sure that together we can produce the book we want to publish, we will plan to work with you towards the final manuscript. We will draw up a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize our intention to publish your manuscript as well as the expectations and responsibilities of both parties in undertaking the book project.
Copies of manuscripts submitted will not be returned.
