HIYAS is OMF Literature’s imprint for children’s books. The word “hiyas” means “gem” in Filipino, an appropriate name for a line of books that contain treasures for children. The kids will surely enjoy the story of how Teo and his friend Gadong helps out Apong Cion as she defends her yard from those that wish to destroy the trees. Bee Safe by Joyce Piap-Go is a practical and informative book that teaches kids how to be safe in their environment. This will be a first in an instructional series for toddlers featuring Dee the Bee. For 4-6 year olds, Dee takes the role of a playmate playing teacher. For 3 year olds and below, being read to by an adult contributes to the child's sense of security in his rapidly expanding world.
